Big Changes and New Blogs to Come

I am going to be changing the way I run this website and I would like to add some new blogs in the near future to try to reach my goal of 100,000 visitors a month. This website is going to be dedicated to following my financial successes and talking about financial topics in general. I am going to broaden the topics of this website to encompass more aspects of finance so please look out for future posts. I will be doing this so hopefully search engines will recognize my site more.

Will be broadening the topics of my website and adding some new websites to rank higher in search engines.

The new project I want to start will be creating possibly two or three new blogs about popular topics that I am passionate about and get around 100,000 visitors a month. These won't necessarily be related to finance at all but I think it is time to expand my online presence in other topics as well. Topics such as sports, gold mining, school, and other topics that I am passionate about. I will have to do some SEO work to see what is most popular but I hope to have some new blogs up within one or two weeks. I will be keeping a log of my journey with these new sites at this website so please subscribe if you would like to follow me on my journey to 100,000 visitors a month.

How to Go Self Employed - Step 1

This is an explanation of the first step from the article Self Employed Work - The 7 Steps to Making Money Online.

Step one consisted of making a foundation to build your online empire from. To do this we will simply start with creating a blog or website on a free hosting site. There are many sites out on the web that will allow you to create a free blog or website.

Here is a list of free hosting sites for your blog/website.
Weebly
http://www.weebly.com/

Webs (make a free website)
http://webs.com

Squidoo
http://www.squidoo.com/

Yola
www.yola.com

Weblog
http://weblog.com/

Sosblog
http://www.sosblog.com/

Myblogsite

WebGarden (blogs and websites)

Bravenet

BlogReaction

Wix (free Flash Websites)

Webstarts

Blogger

After choosing your hosting site another good suggestion would be to invest in your own site/domain. They are really not that expensive and you are in control of your site, not someone else. Also search engines tend to like custom domains, which in result make it easier for your site to rank.

It would be a good idea to test out some of these hosting sites for yourself and see which one works best for you. Play around with the template design and what widgets they allow you to use. All these things help make your site the most custom and unique it can be, which visitors love.

Self Employed Work - The 7 steps to Making Money Online

I was just reading in the local newspaper this morning that unemployment claims in the United States was at 8% which is the lowest since 2008! This is great news but there are obviously still a lot of unemployed people out there who could use some extra income.

There are many ways that people make money online. You have the freedom of how much you want to work and how much you would like to earn.
Well lucky for those of you who are looking for self employed work there are literally thousands of ways to make money online. This post is going to be the first of a long set of post that will explain and show you how to make money online. Please look out for future post, you can expect a new follow up post every other day!

Follow these steps to make cash from home:

1. A good foundation for any person to begin their online money making experience is to create a free blog or website. Some sites that have free hosting for blogs/websites include Weebly, Webs, Blogger, Squidoo, and many more.

2. Determine a passion that you want to focus on, in my case that would be making money online for little or no cost. Your passion can be anything from sports, cars, music, or anything you would like.

3. Research keywords that have low competition but a lot of of searches that you can add into your blog/website. You want to drive traffic to your blog/website so you have to research on SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

4. Once you have traffic going to your site you can chose how you want to use that traffic to make you money. Adsense is a popular way to make money from your blog/website. You get paid by Adsense when people that are visiting your blog/website click on an ad on one of your pages. Adsense is just one option you can go with, you can also be an affiliate marketer for a countless number of other people out there on the web.

5. After you have your site rolling and have decided which way you are going to get cash from home through it you need to monitor what is making you the most money. Being an affiliate marketer for one company might not be as profitable for you as being an affiliate marketer for a different company.

6. (THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP) Don't get burned out and just quit. Self Employed work is not necessarily easy and it takes time to become successful.

Thank you for reading,
I will be creating pillar posts (in depth explanations) for each of these steps that I just listed in the near future. To make sure you don't miss the future post please subscribe to my posts! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions you might have regarding to this post.
